Portsmouth Is Getting a New Wellness Destination.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — A popular wellness concept that has been steadily expanding across the country is preparing to open its doors in Portsmouth this fall.

SWTHZ (pronounced “Sweathouse”), a contrast therapy studio specializing in infrared saunas, cold plunges and recovery treatments, is expected to open during the second week of September in Portsmouth Green (formerly known as the McKinnon’s plaza), according to co-owner Kirsten Moskowitz in an exclusive interview with Seacoast Stories.

The Portsmouth location marks another step in the franchise’s expansion throughout New England, bringing a type of recovery experience that has become increasingly popular among athletes, wellness enthusiasts and people simply looking for an hour to unplug.
